Shania Twain said she’s “shocked and saddened” by the deaths of director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner.

Twain is one of many in the entertainment industry to offer her condolences. She posted a photo with the late director on Instagram on Monday afternoon, and wrote in her caption: “Words cannot describe how shocked and saddened I am to hear of the passing of Rob and Michele Reiner. Two true talents and powerhouses of our generation - gone too soon. My heartfelt condolences to their family at such a difficult time. 💔”

Earlier in the day, fellow country artist Reba McEntire posted a tribute of her own. She said she “enjoyed every minute I was around Rob Reiner. He was one of a kind. I got to work with him on the movie North and he also helped us with our ending of my video, ‘Does He Love You.’ I sure will miss him. What a gift he was to this world. Rest in peace, my friend.”

Romy Reiner, 28, reportedly found parents Rob and Michele dead in their California home on Sunday (December 14). On Monday (December 15), law enforcement officials arrested son Nick Reiner, 32, in connection with the deaths. The Los Angeles Police Department stated in a news release on Monday that “it was determined that the Reiners were the victims of homicide. The investigation further revealed that Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of Robert and Michele Reiner, was responsible for their deaths.” Nick Reiner is “in custody with no bail,” according to police. Rob and Michele were 78 and 70, respectively.
