Last night my wife and I were watching the news when a story about a new "Uber for Kids" service came on, and boy did she have a fit.
The service called HopSkipDrive began operations this week in Denver. And it's exactly what it sounds like... Parents schedule a ride online or through an app and are matched with a driver.
I jokingly said "we should send our 7-year-old to get us ice cream." My wife, who isn't very overprotective quickly said that we would never be using the service!
But the company is reassuring parents that its drivers are interviewed in person and have passed stringent background checks that include fingerprinting, which Lyft and Uber don't require.
