Colorado House Gets Ransacked After Mistaken for Site of Estate Sale

It's 2018, and if you still trust people enough to leave your house unlocked when you leave, you have way too much faith in mankind. It's sad to say, but it's true, and here is proof.

A lady in Longmont, Colorado left her house unlocked this last week, and as luck would have it, there was an estate sale down the street. Somehow, someone accidentally when to her house for the sale, got inside, and then spread a rumor that everything was free in said house.

When she came back the next morning she was greeted by people taking items from her house, and the whole place ransacked.

The Daily Camera reported, "everything from picture frames to jewelry to lamps and utensils were taken, while her grandson had a camera and a computer with school files taken... Someone even took her toilet paper and the toilet paper holder from the bathroom."
