Internet security gets trickier by the day, and yet there are still people out there who use the same old passwords that have been stolen for decades, and then wonder how people get into their stuff...
SplashData is out with its list of the 100 most popular computer passwords of 2017, and as usual, it serves as a mirror for human stupidity.
To wit, "123456" and "password"--the top two on the list--are highly unlikely to foil hackers. Not only that, but the list remains virtually unchanged from years past, meaning hardly anybody is smart enough to take their cybersecurity seriously.
