Once a week or so, my hometown newspaper, the Greeley Tribune, puts together what they call their Cop Log. Basically they compile the weirdest stuff that the cops encounter over the last month or so in Greeley and Evans, and print it for the world to see. Today, it's the story of the husband and wife who may need a little time apart.
June 7th, 11 p.m.: Police received a call from the 300 block of 23rd Avenue. The caller said his wife drove over the lawn. He wanted to see if this qualified as destruction of property. The man's wife then called and said her husband was trying to get her to go to jail.
Can it be "destruction of property" if it is also your property?
Maybe these two should seek some counseling...
