Thousands Of Colorado Students March Against Gun Violence

Today marks one month since the deadly shooting at Majory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Today thousands of students across across the country, including right here in Colorado, walked out of school and marched to end gun violence. Denver area students march on the Capitol, where lawmakers and Gov. John Hickenlooper spoke to the students.

The students carried signs, one of which read "One child is worth more than all the guns on Earth"

Another read, "I should feel lucky I get to go to school, Not lucky that I made it home alive."

There is another walk out scheduled for April 20th, the anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting.

While it's unfortunate that it's come to this, I think it's great that students are using their voices to try and end gun violence. Now we just have to hope the lawmakers listen.
