The tech giant has narrowed down the location for its new headquarters to 20 different cities, with Denver being on that list. Amazon is promising that whatever location they choose, about 50,000 jobs will be created with an average salary of $100,000 for every employee. Not too shabby, right? Well, it looks like Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper isn't totally convinced this is what's best for Denver. The Governor shared his thoughts on what would happen in Denver wasn't chosen. Hickenlooper said, quote, "I’m not going to cry. There will be a sense of relief if they choose somewhere else, because there are a lot of challenges and lot of hard work we will be avoiding,”
The final decision on the new location will be announced at the end of 2018. You can see the final 20 list here.
