I love 4th go July, and I am always so sad to see it go because Summer seems to just fly by after that. That being said, I made my holiday one to remember!
Annually my family attends the July 3rd Rockies game, the fire work show is amazing! Not too long, coordinated with some great tunes, and just stunning. Not to mention the American classic of a good ole game of baseball before the show. (Did they lose? Yes. Did we care after the fireworks started? Not so much.)
Following the Rockies game we stayed at the coolest hotel in Denver! Each floor is a different theme which we didn't realize until we had gotten to our room which was on the 13th floor. It was horror film themed - fitting. There were superhero floors, video game floors, and even chic-flick floors! So cool. Also, they gave away unlimited warm cookies at the front desk so they're my kinda people!
The 4th of July was fun! Kicked off the day on the boat getting a little sunshine, and some BBQ time with the fam which is a must on such holiday. After the boat I ventured off with some friends for a fantastic 4th of July party and this game called "Stump". You throw a hammer in the air, catch it, and however you catch it that is how you must bang the hammer against a nail (Sounds so safe, eh?). It was a lot of fun and I would recommend the game for any adult party, not so much for kiddos.
I wrapped up the weekend with some family friends, and live music which you can never go wrong with. How blessed we are to live in a Country that provides us opportunity for so much fun, freedom, and time for family and friends. Now that its Monday, its back to the work grind, which again how lucky am I?!
