Blake Shelton said he’s still embarrassed by a photo of himself that his wife, Gwen Stefani, recently shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Shelton joined host Jimmy Kimmel on the late night talk show on Wednesday night (November 20), and addressed the photo of him on a bike when the family took a trip to Rome, Italy. Shelton said it’s “one of those pictures, you know sometimes you see a picture of yourself and…at first, it’s alarming,” he said. “(But) you see it like a year later and it’s like, ‘man, it wasn’t so bad,’ you know? That one is worse every time I see it. …I just look stupid.”
Kimmel laughed as he pointed out that Shelton isn’t “doing anything embarrassing…yet somehow it is (embarrassing).” He suggested that the country star’s glasses and helmet that he’s wearing in the photo “take it over the top.”
Stefani shared the photo when she appeared on the show on September 30. She said at that time that the family took a trip to Rome because Shelton had never visited Europe, even while touring. Stefani reacted to the photo: “Look how cute my husband is… You could tell, he has the energy of like, ‘my wife told me to do this.’” Shelton and Stefani met on the set of The Voice in 2014. They started dating the following year, got engaged in 2020, and married in July 2021 in Oklahoma. Shelton said in an Entertainment Tonight interview, “if I could have a repeat of these past 10 years [together, that] would be perfect.”
