Player Gets Hit in the Face with a 91 MPH Fastball at Colorado Rockies Game

Yankees star Luke Voit proved he's got nerves--and a face!--of steel after he took a 91mph fastball to the noggin during his team's matchup against the Colorado Rockies on Saturday.

People notes that the first baseman not only stayed in the game after getting beamed on the chin by pitcher Chad Bettis, but went on to score a run as his team easily bested the Rockies, 11-5.

“If you know Luke, you know he’s going to play the game," Yankees catcher Austin Romine told reporters after the game. "The guy’s like a bull out there."

Voit was screened for a possible concussion, but test results reportedly came back clear.
